I lost my job and became disabled in 2007. Aware of my situation, I contacted child support enforcement and requested a modification in my child support order -- I was told, no. In fact, I was told the Judge doesn't like to modify orders. Desperate, I took matters into my own hands -- I started sending what I could afford, which was half of the original order. Now the courts are coming after me with a contempt chanrge. I go to court in a week, I have prepared for the worst, certian courts like yours amd mine are out of control. Keep up the faith! The organizer has been on Oprah and he does a lot of positive work. Even if you have moved on or given up, I encourage every victim of injustice to become "an activist for life." It only costs $5 to join, but we need this organization to be as large and as powerful as possible, so please join and support this cause of fairness and justice. We are not alone in our suffering, and there is hope because there are a lot of people who really care. Now let's turn those feelings into action. Write letters! I've since moved passed all this, but it amazes me how many stories are out there regarding this. Then sat there again as she refused to even hear his support modification case. His wife earns well more then he does, gets most of what he makes, has all the say-so in the children's (twins under 2 years old at the time) important life needs, can't make a sensible, logical decision on her own but has all the answers, has spent herself into incredible debt, swears like a drunken sailor (sorry, you sailor boys!), screams and shouts at the children and now who knows what else goes on behind closed doors. With his current net income, there is no way to pay for going back to court for modification which he knows would either not be heard Judge Wright or would be denied if it were heard. In fact her ruling forced him at age 42 to move back in with our parents, so that he could pay his support. It is a shame that she has run unopposed three straight times.
